welcome to online gaming, where a bunch of smacktard neckbeards behave with impunity because no one can reach into the internet and slap them.
Just ignore them. block if they are being determinedly tedious.
One concern, what's this about needing a reason to shoot stuff? apart from the aforementioned liability of fleet warp-in on an apparently harmless ship which actually could tackle you, it's a fairly natural reaction as far as I can see. I'd take a shuttle instead of a noob ship if you want to practice low-sec travel, it's almost insta-warp off gates. further to that you need to learn about MWD + cloak tricks for getting past gate-camps and making undock instawarp bookmarks for effortlessly dodging station campers. just google around and you'll find what you need. it's quite rewarding to employ these tactics and leave these guys in the dust. with the right ship fit and a little knowledge you can survive in low on your own. yeah there are some very cool people playing who recognise that you're completely outclassed and give you encouragement for trying.
I guess it didn't work as I'm still a carebear but I'm a more adventurous one lately. I take back my previous statements and judgements of others. -áyou can mine in iteron if you want. |

the OP was in a noob ship so none of that applies. I take back my previous statements and judgements of others. -áyou can mine in iteron if you want. |

^well that kill seems legit.
looks like the OP died to a serial camper. he has a most impressive K/D ratio and never, ever moves. I take back my previous statements and judgements of others. -áyou can mine in iteron if you want. |

Same modus operandi (cloaked cruiser, blah blah). Same results. Just a different system and different perpetrator every time. I have zero doubts that I could pull up the map right now and randomly pick any 0.4 system anywhere, and go there in a noobship or venture. The same exact thing with the same exact modus operandi would happen in very short order. I think all these "cloaked cruiser gankers" studied at the same school or something. Try it yourself. Just check your clone first.
Oh I'm fully aware that these guys infest low sec. they're sitting on every other low to high sec gate and mission agent station. as i said in my other post there are tricks you can learn, specifically involving fitting a microwarpdrive and cloaking device and setting up undock instawarp bookmarks, that let you slip by these guys effortlessly, even in cruisers. smaller ships you might have fast enough align to not even require that.
you can even escape bubble camps if you keep your head and run dual prop. good ones though... yeah now that's what you can call futile. I take back my previous statements and judgements of others. -áyou can mine in iteron if you want. |

Basically, people aren't reading my post carefully. For instance, I continue to hear explanations involving 'gate camps,' but I have already said that these aren't gate camps I am encountering. I continue to hear explanations involving loot that could be dropped, but (I think) I already said that they don't even sift through the loot - I know this because I come right back again after being killed only to find my cargo that was dropped unopened.
I don't see anywhere in this thread where you state where you were attacked, if you were at a star, a gate, an asteroid belt, a station etc. a gate camp doesn't have to be a bunch of dudes set up in roles, it is often just one guy in a T3 cruiser sitting off gate waiting to pop whatever comes though. Try to help us out here rather than calling us *****, will you? I take back my previous statements and judgements of others. -áyou can mine in iteron if you want. |
